When Fujifilm announced the new X-Pro3, there was a lot of criticism about the design of the new flip-down screen. When I announced the camera, I tried to be the optimistic one and say that I’d give it a try. You can read the article “ Wow, What A Fuss – Fuji X-Pro3” and read what I had to say about the new camera at that time. In this video, I show my X-Pro3 kit with lenses and camera bad and discuss why I will be parting with the X-Pro3. And this is where the X-Pro 3 lost its attractiveness to me. The other thing any Fuji owner will tell you is that Fujifilm was all about improving its camera lines with many firmware updates. Many times, these updates were almost equivalent to getting a new camera.Īll was well - I loved the X-Pro1 and X Pro2 except for the fact that they didn’t have a tilt-out rear screen. Well, Fujifilm listened, but they didn’t quite hear what we wanted. Easy to understand buttons, well placed along with a push-button joystick add to the efficiency when using this camera.

Having been brought up on rangefinder cameras, specifically the Leica M4 – M6, the idea of a rangefinder camera with a secondary digital finder was quite attractive. So, when the X Pro line was introduced, I was in hook, line, and sinker. I did have the Fuji X-Pro3 until I decided to let it go. I bought the Fuji X Pro1 and X Pro 2 systems the day they were announced. These were such great cameras and innovative, to say the least, with the hybrid viewfinder. I have my reasons for these decisions but suffice it to say, the Fuji was a logical choice, and I have loved the Fuji X camera for quite some time. Presently, I use the Fuji X-H1, Fuji X-T4, and a large stable of both prime and zoom lenses. The Fuji XH system is the camera of choice for my wife. Simple and familiar controls placed right to make this camera easy and efficient to work with.

The Sony System for full Frame and the Fuji X system for APS-C. All of these fits into one of the best camera bags of all time the Domke bag.įujifilm is a big name these days. What Fujifilm has done over the years more than anything else is listen to their customers. I have been a Fujifilm customer since they first introduced the X-camera line and, until now, have never been disappointed.ĭuring the height of the pandemic, I decided to lighten my gear load. I was suffering from serious GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and decided I would keep one full-frame system and an APS-C system. I wrote an article about this - “ Too Much Photo Gear“. What do you think?ĭo you use FUJIFILM cameras for your work? How do you like their image quality and ergonomics? What would you like to see in a new camera from FUJIFILM? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section underneath the article. My former Fuji X-Pro3 kit. In my opinion, FUJIFILM might finally jump on the 8K train with one of the bodies that will be announced in May.

Any of these cameras or any of the other photographers-oriented X series bodies could get a successor. Then there is the FUJIFILM X-H1 which has already been around since February 2018 ( check our review here). The current filmmaking flagship of the whole X series – the FUJIFILM X-T4 has been announced almost two years ago in February 2020 ( check our review here), the small-sized FUJIFILM X-S10 followed in October 2020 ( check our review here). We can only speculate which cameras the Japanese company will introduce.

Yuji Igarashi also said that the new cameras will be a further evolution of the X series based on the expertise of the past 10 years. The only piece of information we have right now is that there will be new “5th generation X series cameras”. New FUJIFILM models in MayĪt the moment, FUJIFILM did not disclose which models will be introduced in May and we don’t even know how many cameras the company will release. One of them is introducing new cameras to the X series family in May during the annual X-Summit. Therefore, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the X mount series and FUJIFILM is planning on celebrating in many ways. The company has so far introduced close to 30 X series camera bodies and 40 lenses for the system. Since then, the X mount family grew significantly both in camera bodies and lenses. On the 9th of January 2012, FUJIFILM announced its first interchangeable-lens mirrorless camera X-Pro1 along with three X mount lenses.
